Oh lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz. My friends all drive porsches, I must make amends. Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends. So oh lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz. Oh lord, won't you buy me a color TV. Dialing for dollars is trying to find me. I wait for delivery each day until 3. So oh lord, won't you buy me a color TV. Oh lord, won't you buy me a night on the town. I'm counting on you lord, please don't let me down. Prove that you love me and buy the next round. Oh lord, won't you buy me a night on the town. Oh lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz My friends all drive porsches, I must make amends. Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends. So oh lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz

about

Koogler Presents: The Snell Family Band is a soundtrack, a series of field recordings, and an Off-Broadway revival of techniques not seen with such precision for months & maybe years. A documentary of the skill set applied by Snell Library Studios employees, not only does this album follow a day in the life of a Snell Library Studios coop or employee, it also touches on philosophical & ethical dilemmas faced by the audio world in general & Snell Library Studios (formerly known as the DMC). While the album was being produced, the progenitors of the studio realized that the DMC (Digital Media Commons) was not a colloquially used name to refer to a oft-used student center. They decided to follow in Koogler's footsteps and name the studio "Snell Library Studios."

Beginning in 2014, Snell Library Studios began serving the Northeastern community. In 2017, a member of Koogler became an employee of the studio, and a fantastical combination spawned what would became a symbiotic entity between Koogler & Snell Library Studios itself. In 2018, as Koogler realized they could never be the "Peppermint Creeps" that studio supervisor Jonathan Iannone had predicted them to become, they decided to give back to the place that had given them so much, and try to say thanks to supervisor Jonathan Iannone for his relentless student advocacy & the considerable weight upon his shoulders.

However, the close-knit community of Snell Library Studios suddenly all had something to say, no longer sufficing to claim "we'll fix it in post" or "I'm not even on shift right now." Suddenly, the studio/work place that has been home to many projects became a hub for the whimsical collection of songs that are seen today. Even former employees, floundering in nostalgia, decided to contribute what they could to the record. From across the country, and even internationally, Koogler is happy to present The Snell Family Band.

Koogler would like to thank Snell Library Studios (formerly known as DMC) for providing a platform with which to complete our recording work and explore our creativity, former coops Lee Schuna, Pete Leger, Aidan Breen & Xander, & Thomas. As always, none of this would be possible without Grahame, Darren, & Late Night Gerald, & the formidable gentrification proliferated by Northeastern University.
